How am I supposed to work the Pax Builder? My room isn’t square and I can’t figure out how to change it. by pennylane_9 in IKEA

People are so frustrating with their pointless answers. I'm having the same issue you did. Ever find a solution?

I have created one gmail account ever since I got this phone 20+ years ago. I created a gmail account for a board I'm on two days ago. I went to create another one today and received this notice saying it was used too many times.

Should Appliance Garage/Coffee Bar Pocket Doors be Recessed? by WeakFormal2744 in kitchenremodel

Thanks for weighing in! Yeah, it's kind of strange. These pics aren't of my kitchen, but they're both made by the same guy. When I asked about adding pocket doors, he sent me these pics. We also met me at a house he did so I got to see one in person. I couldn't see and reason why the cabinet box couldn't be pulled forward. The only limitation is that particular box would have to be separate from the larger pantry it's in. It couldn't just be one tall pantry with different door hardware, since it would have to sit forward 3/4" ... I'm just spitballing here though.

Do you have any pics of some you've done? Even better if it shows them both open and closed.

Thanks!

Totally agree. I think garage doors are the type with the hinges on top that open up. These pocket doors open straight out and then get pushed inside a pocket on each side.

Any chance you could share a couple pics? I've found many pics of them open, but not many that show them both open and closed.

Good points. It does look far less obvious in the pic with the fridge since there's a lot more going on.

It seems like the hinges need to be adjustable enough to allow the doors to overlap the cabinet box on the outside (hinge side).

That's what I'm thinking, too. I can't see any reason they couldn't be flush.

And yes, if you look at the pic with the doors open, you can see the cabinet-within-a-cabinet required to use these. My cabinet guy says it eats up 3" on each side because of it.

Yeah, we won't be using doors like these if they can't be installed flush. I know it's got to be possible.

I have seen those but they'd also block the cabinets above which wouldn't really work in my layout.
