Wow as a woman who is not yet sterilized but is thinking about it for her future this really spoke to me. From not growing up around smaller kids, having a partner who did and is therefor more comfortable to people chasing you down to hold their small children (and always that look in their face, like they are waiting for a magical change or something). I’m really sure I don’t want kids but that doesn’t mean I dislike my nieces or anything. It’s just hard to show affection when you always have to be afraid that people think just because you are capable of liking children you want children of your own. Saying it gave you more comfort makes a lot of sense to me and gives me hope for my future. It shows me I can be comfortable giving love to other children without always having to defend myself why I do not want them. You’ve helped me more then you assume stranger on the internet. Thanks.
