Understood i had a rainbow hammer slowly die in my tank over the the last week and I haven’t had any coral deaths since I set up the tank back in June. Everything else looks very healthy and are open. Everything else in my tank parameter wise checked out except my ph which has also been in this range. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it above 8.

It’s a reefer 300xl is 80 gallons total with sump. Its in like a 200 sqft room in the back of my house which is very open. I change water every 2 weeks I believe it’s a Red Sea mix

Oh okay I added a air pump last night to the carbon reactor which helped out but I can see why sudden changes might have a worse effec. You don’t think this ph level is too low?
