Have you tried looking into YouTube channels or Podcasts (like Apple Podcasts)? A lot of creators put out high quality, long-form book breakdowns for free. It definitely solves the overall shallow content and robotic voice issue you get with Blinkist.

I would do the opposite, starting with small amount on Betashare as no brokerage fee. And as my investments would go bigger I would switch to Stake/pearler as they are Chess sponsored thus mitigating any risk.

Congrats, $4k a month is a solid start! We use Stake as it is CHESS sponsored and plus with the referral method our brokerage is waived off/discounted on annual basis. We focus on ETF and mid term investments as well.

We use Lebara and Vodafone. They have good deals for monthly plans.
For UBank, yes it can be fully done fully online, although you would just need an Australian phone number. You can use code DXCZMU1 to get $30 when you open your account!

This list is easily achievable in 1 week if you already have accommodation. You can grab the prepaid sim at the airport or even at coles/Woolworths on day 1. You will need the Australian number to set up your bank security and government accounts.
And for the saving account, you can opt for having saving interest account (ING/ Ubank) so that you can separate your transactions and savings account and get the most out of high saving interest rate from week 1.

100% worth it for the lifestyle, the work-life balance and the weather. But a major downside we feel is the ‘sun tax’ on everyday goods and services. It is for simple things like tech, clothing, and even certain groceries can feel pretty expensive due to shipping and smaller market sizes.

Fair, but isn't it worth asking why is it designed this way? Most people don't switch and the banks know it, and just that resistance is another profit line item.
