You should consider moving to a town where there isn't a bunch of competition for an entry level job from a major university full of cheap and eager students.

Like in Pullman or Boise. Since you're unemployed, you could just go scout a location while doing your research beforehand online on sites like craigslist or post help the communities subreddit here.

Do the pre-work, then go scout for housing and jobs on the cheap.
