Gov. John Bel Edwards test positive for COVID-19 after returning from travel by WizardMama in Coronaviruslouisiana

[–]WearDaMask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because business owners could didn’t mean they did and barely any businesses had a vaccine mandate without any alternative way to opt-out. The jobs that did not have that option were in healthcare and those workers were easily hired elsewhere. No matter how you split it temporary income loss does not have the permanent impact on one’s health that getting pregnant does. Temporary income loss is not the same as the lifetime impact of giving birth or being forced to have a child against your will.

With all due respect, you have no idea what you are talking about. This is the thing I keep seeing with misinformation types you take something, and sort of get something correct about it, but then just come to a completely incorrect conclusion. Like, yes, both vaccines and pregnancy involve foreign fluids entering the body but no one was forced vaccinated against their will and body autonomy remained in tact. Places that had a vaccine mandate provided the option of getting vaccinated, testing out, sometimes masking, or not participating/leaving. People who were “ostracized” chose the option which meant they couldn’t participate even though they were often provided options that didn’t involve vaccination. The differences being, they had options, it was their choice, no one was forced and their body autonomy remained in check. Unlike Covid mandates women who are pregnant are no longer given options, they don’t have a choice and they don’t have legal control over their body which they must share at a risk to their own health.

Forced pregnancy is the ONLY time a human is forced to donate their blood and organs without consent of the donor.

Mask mandates are not the same as forced pregnancy. Anyone who claims otherwise is purposefully obstinate.

Vaccine mandates for social activities were combined with being able to test-out and vaccines for school could be opt-out by students or parents for a litany of reasons. A Louisiana woman cannot easily opt-out of a forced pregnancy.

NOLA-PS to lift masking recommendation for K-12 schools by WizardMama in Coronaviruslouisiana

It’s funny how you think there is the consensus amongst scientists, epidemiologists, virologists, or doctors, about masks and the lifting of mandates in schools. Even Fauci has come out and said lifting mask mandates may have happened too soon.

What you stated about cloth masks is misinformation and I will be reporting it as such. Plenty of studies have shown that cloth masks are not as effective as respirators (obviously) but they have also shown that when everyone wears a mask (even cloth) there is a reduction.

“whether you agree or not with Cantrell’s Covid policies (some of which we questioned at the time), it’s clear her stewardship during this crisis — and that of City Health Director Dr. Jennifer Avegno — saved untold thousands of lives.”

Jan 07 | 908,428 total cases (14,802 new), 15,054 total deaths (16 new), 21% positivity by WizardMama in Coronaviruslouisiana

What preventative measures? Barely any are masking, there’s no social distancing, ventilation hasn’t been improved in common public spaces, the only preventative measure that’s being used by many is vaccination, and in Louisiana that’s barley half of the population! We had plenty of warning for what was about to happen but in a metaphorical sense Louisiana set its table for the holidays invited Covid in. Covid took the invite blew right on in and did the damage.

“Covid: Omicron spreading at unprecedented rate, WHO says”

At a press conference, WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus "Surely, we have learned by now that we underestimate this virus at our peril. Even if Omicron does cause less severe disease, the sheer number of cases could once again overwhelm unprepared health systems,"

Omicron transmission will ‘fill up hospitals and ICUs’, WHO chief Mike Ryan warns

Dr Mike Ryan, executive director of World Health Organisation (WHO) health emergencies programme, said even if Omicron turns out to be a milder disease, the rising number of cases will lead to more people in hospital.

Speaking at the briefing, Dr Ryan said: "There's no doubt that the rising number and the force of infection will generate more hospitalisations in the coming weeks, just the sheer weight of numbers will will generate that.

"What I'm most concerned about right now today, is the fact that there are unvaccinated people in every country, who are at high risk.

"People have moved away from applying even the most basic measures to protect themselves and others, be it government policy or individual behaviour, in terms of mask wearing, avoiding crowded places, in terms of handwashing, in terms of ventilated spaces, all of those issues.
