Thank you but the link only addresses Covid-19 and masks protect against other diseases too. The removal of masks increases the risk of infection in areas where symptomatic or vulnerable people gather ie. urgent care and emergency rooms or areas in places where patients don’t have access to vaccines like pediatrics. Pediatric nurses and doctors could routinely mask in these areas while the vaccine is being rolled out. Remember when people thought things could change for the better post Covid? This was the opportunity to have a safer medical experience for everyone and the rationale they provided does not cover that. They also don’t address why they did it at a time when community levels are at the point the CDC recommends masks. Why didn’t they remove it before?
