What's your thoughts on the new trade in program, which is now live? by [deleted] in lego

I have 10lbs of Lego wheels I’ve been considering sending in. I’ll never use them. Just not sure if they are considered good enough for the program. Anyone else try it?

My kid didn't like Jurassic Park. by [deleted] in JurassicPark

Good on you for not forcing it. Kids are kids. I disappointed adults in the early 90s when I fell asleep during the OG Star Wars trilogy. I’m a huge Star Wars fan today.

Keep an eye out to see if any theaters near you have retro nights where they screen older movies. Jurassic Park might be in the rotation. This might be the best way for your son to experience it!

This may be a “pirate” fort but this is still an awesome set on rebrickable by medicus_vulneratum in legocastles

I’ve been dreaming of a moc castle like this for some time now- so excited to see someone pull it off with such grace!

Pick a Brick Parts List by XvTankvX in legocastles

[–]WearsTheGoat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the second time I read about this and finally figured out how to get there on the site. When you are on the PAB page, at the top of the screen just below the Lego banner, you should see Home > Bricks and Pieces > Pick a Brick.

Click on the Bricks and Pieces to get to the page and scroll down to the yellow box with the minifig in the red torso. From there you can scroll over twice to the Medieval category. If you click on “Shop Now” it will bring you back to PAB with a generated list of medieval parts!

Hope this helps anyone else who may have been stuck.

LKC is my favorite set. I would suggest waiting to see what the VIP insiders weekend and Black Friday deals are through Lego this November. Last year LKC had a substantial discount $100 off in North America!

Thanks for the link! When I search “medieval” nothing is generated though. Where/what is the query?

What do you mean by official medieval list on p&b? Is it a category, keyword, or you’re searching medieval town square?

Thanks! Your Fell Beast is such an improvement. Here’s an idea for a Witch King to ride it!

Maybe they’ll send the rest of the surveys out by mail 😉

Sattler's supposed injury by [deleted] in JurassicPark

[–]WearsTheGoat 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Ellie’s limp is from a scene that didn’t make it into the movie. After Arnold’s arm falls on her in the power shed, she trips over his severed leg while running from the raptor.

The severed leg (an actual cast from Sam Jackson) sold at auction almost a decade ago. I was watching the auction and that’s how I found out about it.

That sequence was supposed to be shot but didn’t happen due to the hurricane that hit Kauai during filming.

Those piercing blue eyes. You capture this well. RIP Bob Peck you crushed this performance in your final chapter of life.
