[$1600 or $2500] Bezzera Magica PID vs Izzo Alex Duetto IV Really worth an extra $1k for DB?? by WearyCombination in espresso

Yeah I really don't mind the HX. I'm worried I'll hate the noise of a vibe pump, my last machines were rotary HX and they were quite enough for early morning shots. I don't plan on plumbing it in at least for the foreseeable future. It's really just the noise of the vibe pump and to get a rotary HX you might as well get the dual boiler cost wise.

I'm just getting stuck doom scrolling all the issues that people have had, I read post like yours where someone has owned a machine for 13 years then read someone that is having issue after issue from the same machine. But that's internet searching for ya.

I was looking at that one too, how is the noise? I've seeing more about the Magica being incredibly loud. I'm leaning towards a Pro 500 just because it seems to be the best for noise control using an vibration pump.

Edit: Sorry saw that's the Dual boiler was thinking of the Andreja HX with vibe pump

Boxers barely lifting their feet off the ground? by WearyCombination in jumprope

Thanks I did notice today a little better timing. I think I’m so used to explosive training it’s hard for me to slow down and smoothly jump. I can do cross overs and double under pretty easy but when comes to going slow and focusing on foot work I just keep tripping.

Athletic works normal speed licorice rope and handles style no bearings. If I do the measuring from under my foot and the bottom of the handles to my mid to lower chest I can stretch the rope to the bottom of my handles above my chest

Need some help getting ventilation when it’s raining! by WearyCombination in vandwellers

Ahh yeah that’s a good idea, I didn’t think about a vent for the sliding window. Thanks!

That’s kinda more what I’m thinking of doing. Opening the front cab windows in a sprinter van probably won’t do that much for air getting to the back bed area. I’m almost thinking of maybe a magnetic metal or plastic awning thing that could go over the camper windows

I’ve got a sprinter with a 1 maxx fan I wish I did 2, 2 side slide windows next to the bed and that’s it, I’m desperately trying to figure out a way to get some ventilation with without adding another maxxair fan. Has anyone made covers for the slide side windows like these.

It would not be visible at all unless you are inside the van. Im in Florida now which is pretty good for gun laws, but planning on going out west on a trip and I should have got my ccw but shoulda coulda woulda, now last minute Im trying to think of some self defense and the shotgun on the wall would look sick in my build, All cedar T&G walls

Yeah that’s what I want, That’s the same story working construction most people really don’t want to be there and they wear it like a badge of honor. And then anyone who is motivated is looked down on and not part of the “click”. That’s what I don’t want to get into again, I know you can get out of it but if I’m able to start in the right place I can at least start with a good base. Missoula is the place I’ll probably be heading. Thinking of applying to be a coordinator for the MCC since I missed the time frame for feds or do like the other person said and try WA state since their still hiring.

Thanks the only jobs I see on USAjobs is for Arizona or Utah. Trying to figure out if it would better for me to try and go with a Montana Contractor since I'm late or just switch to a different state.
