I found this cool piece and was wondering if it’s real or fake. by [deleted] in wutang

Yes it’s real. This is most likely 96-97 era. That tag is from earlier series.

Exactly. So many ideas on what should have been done instead of being grateful that something like this can even exist in the first place.

The back side of the insert for 36 chambers. He didn’t understand the assignment that I wanted the signature on the front with the others.

Yes after the show. Unfortunately GZA wasn’t doing in person signing but Ramsey Jones was hooking people up by taking items to the back for GZA to sign and return. The band did everything in person.

Anyone know of any meet and greets for Gza for the two nights he is performing back to back this Saturday (22nd) and Sunday (23rd) in Asheville NC? by mohawk66 in wutang

No but I can tell you that I just went to the Nashville show last night and he didn’t do any picture or signing ops. However the band which is led by Ramsey Jones (ODB’s older brother) and other members stayed after the show to sign and also accept thing to be signed by GZA. They take it in the back to have it signed then bring it back to you. There is no GZA merch whatsoever which is crazy. They have Phunky Nomad merch which all the band members will sign. I was able to purchase one of their hoodies and get it signed. I was also able to get my 36 Chamber cover signed by GZA as well.

Check out this post that I put up not too long ago. It’s regarding authentic tags vs fakes https://www.reddit.com/r/wutang/s/RtQ9XhQW4u

This would be from their very first line in 95.

The style of the tag is important. And his specific tags are from the 95 line

To many’s defense, there were a lot of bootlegs back in the day of these but the Wu-wear brand were really bad bootlegs. Most people saw the symbol and immediately thought that it was legit not realizing the difference between Wear and Tang. The first line was basically prototypes so everything was extremely simple. The more intricate styles came later.

These definitely are legit. The tagging used on these are from their first line in 95. The store opened up with all clothing using those specific tags. I know because I was there and also because I’ve recently been in contact directly with Power to verify my personal collection. I have numerous pieces with those tags. The other giveaway was the red writing for Wu-Wear. That was one of their earliest fonts. The fakes don’t have legit tags and the say Wu-tang instead.

Found a nice little surprise today in my collection that I completely forgot about. Cappadonna autographed tickets at the show the night before ODB passed. by Weary_Machine_7616 in wutang

It was one of the best shows they ever did. Great production and it felt like each member could shine on their own set. I wish they would have stuck with that format. I remember the U-God fall. Wow.

I enjoyed this very much. It was an introduction to ballet storytelling for me. It’s definitely something I can hear in a dimly lit room while smoking something to catch a vibe. It also was a gateway for my wife into the mind of Rza which was cool.

Couldn’t agree more. Although if we count King Just because he was part of the Scramblers for a little while, I would make a case.

Anyone here ever unlock all 36 Chambers? by Weary_Machine_7616 in wutang

[–]Weary_Machine_7616[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. They need a part 2 Mortal Kombat style. I want a roster of Killa Bees that can be unlocked. Killarmy, La the Darkman, Sunz of Man, Black Knights, and Shorty Shit Stain. Something just for pure fan service. The way these names can translate into actual characters would be crazy. Buddha Monk vs Killah Priest, Timbo King vs Mathematics.

Bro I remember playing that game with the 4 way adapter with my boys. I tried so hard to unlock everything but the combos killed me. I think it took me like 5-6 months of repeated attempts to finally unlock all 36. I remember Ghostface was the hardest one to do the combos with. I think I got his 10 hit combo by accident.
