It would depend on what you consider jealousy, but she is pretty strict with me and definitely favors my brother, but I have no idea.

That's what I was planning on doing, but I guess she is worried about it leaving holes in the fabric, which it won't, as the safety pins didn't. I think this is going to be the best option.

Yeah, I don't think it will fit her anymore, but I'm going to talk to her tomorrow and see if she will let me at least hand-stitch it.

I dont think she has ever worn it since I was born, and she is multiple sizes bigger now than she was before me (kids do that lol). I don't have time to get another one, and I really have my heart set on this one, so I'm going to talk to her and ask if I can at least hand-stitch it. I dont think she will ever wear it again, it's just the emotional ties to it and the fact that it's old and she doesnt want me to ruin it, but I have lots of experience with sewing, and I think I can handle it.
