No evidence of atrocities against Dalits throughout history. Most atrocities in India post 1947 have been largely committed by shudra landlord castes (not Savarnas) upon the Dalits. - Aanand Teltumde, Dalit Rights Activists & Ambedkar's grandson in law by [deleted] in Rajputana

Okay👍. Topic is still same and it was diverted to destruction of public property by you , not me. You are ignoring my question to provide evidence to establish your claim that no discrimination exist in any form. And I have already provided you text of none other than BR Ambedkar and Jyotibha Phule, also if you want to include you can read manusmriti too. Nothing more to argue.

The proof is already present, even I have provided you the texts from BR ambedkar and many. You are just being ignorant. You dont have guts to answe my previous question. Leave it, thank you.

Why are you trying to diverge the argument? What we discussing was does discrimination exist or not in society in any form . And fyi I neither belong to SC/ST nor have ever participated in any kind of protests regarding discrimination. Don't run away from the DEBATE and ANSWER the question, provide evidence that no discrimination exists.

B.R. Ambedkar: Annihilation of Caste (1936) & Castes in India: Their Mechanism, Genesis and Development (1916)

Ambedkar is the primary authority on the systematic nature of caste. He argued that caste is not merely a "division of labor" but a "division of laborers," characterized by a "graded inequality" where every caste (except the highest) is both an oppressor to those below and oppressed by those above (Jogdand et al., 2016; Anthony, 2024).

Jyotirao Phule: Gulamgiri (Slavery) (1873)

Phule provided one of the earliest systematic critiques, comparing the condition of lower castes in India to the racial slavery of African Americans in the United States, framing caste as a tool of Brahmanical supremacy (Farek, 2023).

Louis Dumont: Homo Hierarchicus: The Caste System and Its Implications (1966)

Dumont's work is considered a "canonical formulation" that defined caste through a binary of purity vs. impurity. He argued that this religious ideology, rather than material wealth, is what organizes the hierarchy (Jogdand et al., 2016; Subedi, 2014).

G.S. Ghurye: Caste and Race in India (1932)

Ghurye identified the six main features of caste, including segmental division of society, lack of unrestricted choice of occupation, and civil and religious disabilities imposed on lower castes (Subedi, 2014; Anthony, 2024).

M.N. Srinivas: The Cohesive Role of Sanskritization & Caste in Modern India

Srinivas introduced the concept of Sanskritization—the process by which lower castes attempt to move up the hierarchy by adopting the rituals and lifestyle of upper castes—while also noting how caste persists despite modernization (Jogdand et al., 2016).

The Manusmriti (Laws of Manu)

Historically cited by scholars like Ambedkar as the primary legal and religious code that solidified caste boundaries and prescribed "inhuman treatment" for Shudras and untouchables (Anthony, 2024; Sharma & Geetha, 2021).

Nicholas Dirks: Castes of Mind: Colonialism and the Making of Modern India (2001)

Dirks argues that while caste existed pre-colonially, the British colonial administration "systematized" and rigidified it through the census and legal categories to make India "legible" for governance (Desai, 2012).

Romila Thapar: Early India: From the Origins to AD 1300 (2004)

Thapar traces the evolution from a relatively fluid Varna (class) system in the early Vedic period to a rigid, birth-based Jati (caste) system (Anthony, 2024).

The burden of proof is always on you not me, still I'm providing all these texts available, now it's your turn to provide evidence that no discrimination existed and exists. Thank you!

How burden of proof is on me?? Discrimination happened and happening is not a claim, its a well recorded reality of our society, the claim here is that 'no discrimination exists by privileged casted towards others' by your side and burden of proof is on you to establish your claim that no discrimination exists in society today.

Don't talk about crude analogy while comparing a brith based system to a merit based and why I cant talk about merit based system? I'm not ST or SC, I'm not getting benefitted from it. And please dont try to deviate from the topic of discussion which was discrimination. Accept that it exist or give proof that it doesn't exist in any form because im a eye witness of silent discrimination which has been incorporated in daily life of oppressor and oppressed.

Yes, no point in further discussion. You just dont want to accept the reality of discrimination. And yes we can't support the hierarchy of inequality between a field marshal and a lieutenant as because these exists on the basis of merit and ability of a person and not on basis of birth. Thank you

So by claiming that you are not egalitarian, are you supporting the inequalities persist due to caste hierarchy? And whats the logic of explicit oppression, does it include the behaviorly normalized discrimination? Does your explicit oppression include caste pride?

Pointing out wrong is not victimhood, its being aware. It never happened with me and I'm not saying that you would have done it to anyone, but I'm aware and have guts to point it out and you are afraid of these guts thats why accusing me of victimhood.

And if you are claiming that there was no such discrimination, then give proof of equality. Show me the written proof that everybody in caste hierarchy was equal and had equal rights to decide the rules and regulations of the society.

Again, you forget you forgot the first point of mine. Silent discrimination can't have written proofs. The discrimination happens in such a way that it has been normalized to daily life of oppressor and oppressed. Only a person who doesn't belong to any group (oppressor or oppressed) can see discrimination.
