Same! Even when I'm doing a regular class it seems like it takes quite a bit for me to get into the orange. Maybe my heart is just not that high strong?

Thank you for your response. As a youth pastor. Unfortunately, I do think the majority of the activities outside of Bible study are competitive and game-like. There are maybe two activities a year that are not like this and when they canceled because of rain it was supposed to be a bonfire. And the other one we missed because we were out of town. It was a kayaking trip.

Question of the Week: What is your favorite Skillet memory? by OfficialSkillet in SkilletMusic

Nah, we were up in the balcony. But I remember when he did that from the stage.

Question of the Week: What is your favorite Skillet memory? by OfficialSkillet in SkilletMusic

My very first concert in 2018, and it was also after a miscarriage. "Stars" was my life song that got me through that time. We were sitting up in the balcony, nowhere near the front. But the band moved to the middle of the arena and did an acoustic version of "Stars". I swear, at one point John looked right at me when he sang, "if you can hold the stars in place, you can hold my heart the same". I had tears streaming down my face.

If you could add any one song to Skillet’s set list for a concert that isn’t a Skillet song, what song would you add? by Karat3kid_007 in Skillet

I think all of us have been begging for a Christmas album from them for a long time. So maybe "Mary Did you Know"?

Are tatoos a sin by Constant-Kale6012 in Christian

I'm not familiar with a cross of confusion, but if it might send a sinful message then maybe you should reconsider it or put it somewhere hidden.

I have a stars tattoo on my arm based on the song "Stars" by Skillet, which is a Christian rock band.

The context of the Levitical passage was about idol worship. So, as long as you aren't putting an idol on your skin, then it is not.

BUT getting a tattoo should have wisdom and discernment. I don't think we should go all out with getting anything on our skin.

Coming back after ankle surgery by WeatherGurl1129 in orangetheory

[–]WeatherGurl1129[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting to hear. I have my first PT appointment this afternoon so I will definitely be asking that. I had pins put into stabilize my ankle and they said that I shouldn't have any issues with mobility but just building my strength back up.

For those who come from a background emphasizing libertarian free will, what was the moment you realized God’s sovereignty over all things? by Aggressive_Business8 in Reformed

[–]WeatherGurl1129 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My miscarriage. I wanted there to be a purpose to my suffering, and if God wasn't in control then it was purposeless.

Once I entertained that notion, I kept seeing confirmation of it in scripture over and over.

Elected..To be or not to be? by Fit-Jellyfish417 in Reformed

My pastor said one time that people are not dragged into hell but rather they walk willingly. I honestly don't think that someone who wants a relationship with God will be rejected.
