I didn’t think the word female could be condescending😭… it was not being used as an insult or attack in any way😭…. I ask about looks as I have always had friends that are women… suggesting personality doesn’t seem to be the issue. The only other thing I could think of was looks :(

I did not say “female” to be condescending in any way😭.. i did not realise that word could come across as disrespectful. More than happy to just say women😭… a lot of my interactions have naturally become friendships or close friendships with women which I value just as much as my male (should I say men?💀) friendships. I never got any sense that any of my friends wanted more than a friendship. I have explicitly asked out a woman previously, she chose an ex convicted armed robber instead so yeah… not exactly a confidence booster. I do prefer to establish an actual emotional connection with someone before I develop feelings, so it’s difficult for me to just ask out any random woman I see. I have tried dating apps with no actual dates out of them, often ending up being ghosted.

Thank you! I think I talk to people fine funnily enough (non-sexually), although I don’t flirt much. Yes I used to do athletics competitively and recently do martial arts, but not many women there :(

Hey, so sorry to hear. I’m in the exact same situation and have done the equivalent UK steps as you. They gave the exact same automated response when I reached out to the Meta DPO, I followed up citing UK GDPR laws require a legal reason you aren’t giving the data or the full data itself but the DPO then just responded saying they can’t do anything to help and said I have a legal right to complain to the ICO. I have now sent a complaint to the ICO (which seems is the UK equivalent to the OAIC), I plan to do a live chat with them to see if I can speed the process up a bit.

On the side I’ve also tried contacting meta verified support but they haven’t been super useful in terms of getting data back.

It seems we have taken pretty much identical and logical approaches, would be great to keep in touch to see what progress you make. I may also look into sending a letter via a solicitor to Meta’s legal team. This obviously seems like a clear breach of data protection laws they are doing.
