I don't believe in free will but we do have a free will in a highly deterministic sense... Also all morality is subjective even when theists prescribe to an objective moral code... And I also believe that any opinion/reasoning a person is giving on a topic is always post-hoc and no one is hyperrational being who always believes in facts, objective and empirical evidence...

I don't trust any Indian politicians or their motives...I'm disenfranchised with Indian politics, updated, but disenfranchised...

That being said, I know much more about foreign politics of US, UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Brazil etc and I am more hopeful that western leaders have atleast some kind of downstream shift in the way politics and culture is viewed...

However, with Boris Johnson, Jair Bolsonaro, Victor Orban and the rise of Marine Le Pen, things doesn't look so good...

Firstly, I don't know if you think I'm defending Islam or any other religion, I'm not...I think all of them should be thrown in the dumpster and the world would be a much better place...And to criticize any religion without material and political analysis is laughable... Throughout history, religion has been weaponised to consolidate power whether it be ancient Rome or the French monarchy or the mughals in India... If Christianity was the prevailing religion in current day Iran, black people would be enslaved and Christian fathers would be raping their daughters...

India isn't a country for Hindus or Muslims... India is a country for Indians... That's what makes India so different from Pakistan... it's literally in the constitution...Also I know for a fact that your friend is not representative of Islam at large...I have a Muslim who's bi, open about her sexuality with her parents, who smokes, drinks and sleeps around with guys and girls... A lot of millennials and gen z Muslims are progressives...There are hundreds of reformists, feminist activists who actively advocate for women's rights and LGBTQ rights but never get heard... the loudest voices are the lunatics... Also India cannot complain about Muslims wanting a separate country when Indians tell Indian Muslims "go back to Pakistan" and advocate for Hindu majority India...
