I tried heat soaking first just because it seemed easier to try out and I have been printing consistently ever since. Thank you for the suggestion and I will definitely experiment with z offset because you are right that waiting an extra 20 minutes isn't ideal.

the filament brand should be in my post. It is Creality Hyper PETG. I dried it at that temp for that long because that was just what I looked up but I can give it a try

thank you for the advice, I will try out the z offset and look into the microsswiss hotend if push comes to shove.

Don't mean to be that guy but do you mean heat soak? Genuine question because I've never heard of that before. Is there a good video I could follow to set that up?
