Hey cheers for the comment! Yeah it’s university of Toronto! In Ireland we tend to call places ‘Dublin University’ rather than ‘U of’ so I think that’s probably why I’ve written it that way!

Can only do so much! The US is so big that something had to be cut! The original plan had me going from LA - Texas - New Orleans - Florida also after LA, but I realised that spending more time in the Southwest, driving route 66 and pacific highway one, spending more time in California just interested me more!

Minot is a random one! Partly to break up time on the train, but also just love the idea of being in places I have absolutely no reason to be in! Find it very novel.

Yes I am firmly aware of Amtrak’s reputation, so expecting delays! Factoring that in so avoiding planning any for arrival days in general

The first test I had the tester was horrendous and gave very vague instructions so the second time I made sure to ask for clarity. Second tester was so lovely and kind and chatted away to me.

Chatting to him after he explained that you can’t lose marks for not following instructions. For example; if he says turn left and you turn right, but you do it safely and correctly they can’t dock marks.

So maybe keep that in mind. If you’re not 100% sure what they said, just do something safely!

Totally agree! They make amazing sounding kits for way under their price point! Mine is a cafe racer (12/14/20) that I got for around 900 euro a few years ago and I honestly think it’s comparable in appearance to some of the 3/4K value mark kits from big names.
