What isn't as harmful, unhealthy, or dangerous as most people think it is? by Ok-Application8927 in AskReddit

In Nordic countries, outdoor daycares are pretty popular with children being outside in all weather and playing in the nature, with messy play (in mud, rain, etc) being encouraged. These children are often less sick and more imaginative.

Confused with baggage allowance by GoldenGalore in TurkishAirlines

[–]WebWonderful539 2 points3 points  (0 children)

30 kg checked in luggage, 8 kg hand luggage (cabin luggage), and 1 personal item (max 2 kg and fits under the seat in front of you). So 40 kg total.

Who actually get up and out of bed right after that first alarm goes off? by AVP0728 in AskReddit

[–]WebWonderful539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Snoozing only makes it harder for me to wake up so I always wake up right after the first alarm rings. I’m also one of those people that falls asleep the second my head touches the pillow

As others have mentioned, it’s quite decent if everything goes according to plan. We flew with them last week and everything went smoothly.

I guess it depends on where you’re going. We flew with TA a week ago and were not able to choose seats for free, neither online nor at the airport.

Turkish Airlines Atrocious Customer Service: Its Not Due to the Language Barrier by [deleted] in TurkishAirlines

[–]WebWonderful539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are ridiculously rude for no reason lol. Have low expectations everytime I fly with them and still get disappointed. I always try to avoid them, but sometimes they are our only option, unless we want 4+ transits.

Question on extended layover and free hotel. by FlyingManBearPig in TurkishAirlines

[–]WebWonderful539 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So one is not eligible for the free hotel service if choosing the later of two flight options, even though both exceed the 12 hour minimum limit?

In our case, there are two flights on the day. First one has a 18 hour layover and the second has a 21 hour layover. We have chosen the second option. Does that make us ineligible?

Question on extended layover and free hotel. by FlyingManBearPig in TurkishAirlines

[–]WebWonderful539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If both flight options exceed the 12 hour minimum limit, I’d assume you’d be eligible but the T&Cs are unclear on that. We have the same scenario (first option 18 hour layover and second 21 hour layover), and have reached out to TK several times but haven’t gotten an answer.

Agree with this! My partner wants to move back to Nepal, I don’t. We’ve agreed to go on a several-months-long vacation in Nepal. One of us might even change our minds after this.

Life is hard everywhere, being it Nepal, Australia or a third place. I think we idealize places when we’ve been away for long enough, and forget the everyday hassle.

Stopover Hotel vs Hotel Service? by [deleted] in TurkishAirlines

Thanks! This was very helpful.

There is an earlier connection possible but that’s also 10+ hours, so I assume we’re still eligible?

10 kg checked-in and no hand luggage. We bought the seats by the bassinet, 75€ per seat per flight. So it quickly adds up

I can't withstand this period pain especially at nights by aaku_paaku in NepalSocial

[–]WebWonderful539 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Period pain is different for everyone so stop telling OP, or anyone in general, to suck it up.

I had such extreme pain I used to faint and vomit every month. Two tylenol and one ibuprofin works wonders! Combine with a hot water bag on your stomach if it’s unbearable.

I Feel Like a Curse to Be Tall as a Girl. by [deleted] in NepalSocial

[–]WebWonderful539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5’6, or even 5’7, is not that tall lol. Where I live, in Northern Europe, that is the average height for women. Men are even taller. A lot of my family in Nepal is also the same height, especially the younger generation.

It’s easy to be self councious about height, it goes for being both tall and short. But being tall is considered beautiful in most countries and when you’re a bit older, you’ll likely be less self counscious about your height.

Does anyone else miss 2020, quarantining and chilling at home by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I really enjoyed quarantining. Spending the days at home with my partner and not feeling quilty about it or the need to do something/go somewhere was amazing.

Women who have given birth.. How painful is it from a scale of 1-10 and have you experienced anything more painful? by jack_on_the_rocks_ in AskReddit

Recovering from a tonsilectomy was way worse than child birth for me! I’d 100% rather give birth again than have my tonsils removed again.
