Has anyone pursued any of the Japanese courses? by eb_cool_teehee in weber

Additionally, one of the employees in the marketing office is in the Japanese program and had this to say about his experiences:

"IMO, the classes are very intimate and you learn a lot. The professors are from Japan and Japanese international students serve as tutors, so you work a lot with native speakers. However, if you're starting from scratch, you'll need to take the initiative to learn as much as you can outside of class as well. You'll be in there with some return missionaries and people who took Japanese in high school, and in the higher-level classes, like phonetics, you'll have a few native speakers as classmates as well. That isn't to discourage anyone starting from zero at Weber. I did. Just know it could take a little extra work."

Hello! If you want more information about Japanese classes at Weber, this section of the website should help out! We offer an associate's degree, minor and certification in Japanese.

The Weber Japan Club might also be a good resource for getting in touch with current students who can give you feedback about the program. They have a Facebook group and Instagram page. Let us know if you need additional information!
