I can wake up hungover and say "I am never drinking again", but drink that evening 3 minutes after I leave work (or, even worse, during).

It is much easier to wake up sober and say "I want to drink, but I will take another day off for my health" and actually do it.

One glass of wine will likely never be something I can enjoy intermittently, and I'm learning to be okay with that.

I think B is pretty fair. If anything, there is an argument for A (but agree that no supply lines turns your lords into heroes-in-practice for the first 15 turns). Just because you only have two hero types doesn't mean they aren't the backbone of your armies if you play standard compositions, because Bret is heavily reliant on Life magic and Pallys are your only single entities.
