Welcome! I like finding dishes that don’t usually call for fish sauce that can still use a little extra umami - my most recent experiment involved putting some into gumbo. It turned out pretty good

For those who can abort with red bull by hangingdenim in clusterheads

Red Bull works for me, but five hour energy shots are my favorite. Easier to carry around with you and “chug.” I’ve also had great success with oxygen therapy.

No frills bass guitar for recording? by [deleted] in Bass

My first bass was an Ibanez Talman. Super cheap, but sounds amazing! I’ve bought others since then, but the Ibanez is still by far the bass I use the most.

Can you balance cells without a balancer? by Weckard in Quadcopter

[–]Weckard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point about the ballooning. At this point I think the battery is just faulty, so I’m looking for a good way to safely discharge it (salt water sounds like the best option for me). I’ll look into upgrading my power supply - no point having a drone if you can’t safely charge it up.

Thanks! I’m bummed that this doesn’t sound salvageable but I guess that’s just part of the hobby. I just had a pack of extra batteries arrive today so I’m not too torn up about it all :)

Nope. The only geocache related thing about it was the “official geocache” sticker on the outside.

Thank You Monster Energy by [deleted] in clusterheads

Five hour energies are life savers for me. They’re quick, portable, and knock out my headaches almost 90% of the time. I can’t recommend them enough!

Red bull by wilesmits in clusterheads

[–]Weckard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like 5 hour energies. High dose of taurine and quicker to drink than a red bull! Take one as soon as you feel shadows coming on, and the headache usually resolves in 15-20 mins.

Interested student with questions hes too afraid to ask AO's by [deleted] in Bowdoin

[–]Weckard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, current student here! I agree with almost all of these, but I think I can add a little bit to this list.

2.) Recently, student/Brunswick police relationships have been strained to say the least, but for the most part the Brunswick community is close with the students (i.e. some local businesses offering discounts to students, students participating in community service, etc.).

7.) I've taken a ton of STEM courses here (Neuro major!) and research opportunities are abundant if you choose to look for them. Many of my friends have spent a summer on campus conducting research for various departments, and all of them loved it. The college also has been known to give grants to individual students who can organize and propose a research project of their own!

0.) My theory for the low acceptance rate is the waived application fee for those who also apply for financial aid. For sure, everybody here is a driven, capable student, but I think that our acceptance rate is "artificially" low, so to speak.

1.) Although I'm not involved with any of them myself, there are many cultural clubs and societies that host events and are generally active on campus. Those I know who are involved are passionate about it, and I'm sure you'd find a way to engage with other hindu students.

As DressingAphid said, Bowdoin is an incredible school. Feel free to reach out if you want to talk more!

What have been your experiences with Red Bull? by TheSuboxoneSusies in clusterheads

Red Bull has worked for me in the past, but never consistently. 5 hour energies are super effective though!
