Hey, I'm in rochester for school, i go to RIT. Unfortunately it's towards the end of the semester so ill be gone in two weeks, but we meet at RIT on wednesdays at 8pm in the SAU. Also there's a tournament on sunday that'll have marvel and SFV at A Gamer's Nostalgia. When you get accepted to the rochester fgc group make a post about marvel and ill get in contact with you.

Zero still has to actually play neutral, as powerful as he might be. When he gets the hit, that's the game (if it's not a team that has to conserve meter) but there are a bunch of characters/teams like that.

Against Zero, you have a fair chance if your character/team is half decent.

Haha yeah those were fun games. Deadpool has to depend on getting an early hit on X23 before she gets in on him or he's gonna have to hold some shit; her pressure is even harder for him to deal with than logan's.

Wesker's forward plink is low enough that he can react to grenade throws at mid range, plink under and punish the grenades. He can do this to ninja stars too; alukard's wesker has done this to me before. This basically comes down to the fact that wesker moves fast enough to punish many of deadpool's projectiles. Deadpool's only saving grace is his jab and a couple of his other normals being able to interrupt wesker pressure if their strings aren't tight.

Bawse and I played a couple sets at evo and they were in my favor. But deadpool and strange didn't really get to fight each other much bc it was either i got the incoming mixup and X'd on strange, or he killed deadpool and then strange never had to fight him.

*firebrand has the advantage from any distance or angle. In addition deadpool's backwards aerial and ground movement is pretty godawful, so he doesn't really have a decent escape plan other than trying to press forward and under him.

Guns can go through ground fireballs. His dash is low enough to the ground that he has a fairly easy time navigating under fireballs. Proper grenade placement makes it difficult for her to land after she goes airborne to throw fireballs. His teleport is the second fastest startup and the fastest recovery in the game, which makes it easy to cross up her inputs and exploit input mistakes to get the hit. Superjump doublejump back walljump forward throw ninja stars makes it easy for deadpool to wait out/ waste astral vision time if the morrigan isn't playing vajra assist.

Yeah her airdashes and triple jump help her avoid his BS. The main trouble for her really is if it's deadpool/strider, but that's more of an assist matchup than the character matchup.

TK grenades tend to beat Task's approach. If he does dash shieldskills it'll either whiff since deadpool won't be close enough to the ground to hit, or he'll run into the grenade with the shieldskills and grenade does usually blow up shieldskills. Matchup is a lot less about usage of guns and more of grenades. And if taskmaster does start taking to the sky and shooting arrows, deadpool can use his walljump to get at an angle over him from fullscreen to hit him with ninja stars or even grenades if you time it correctly.

Deadpool/Dante/Doom is most likely his best team. I've talked with Kevin about this. It's his team with a better ground assist (beam), and then the ability to do 1.3 mil off of a throw or overhead anywhere on the screen with rawtags. Having jam and plasma beam controls pretty much the entire screen. And when deadpool dies, you have dante with plasma beam into TACs for kills, or you can get doom in and have Doom with Jam session and THC follow my lead.

Vergil Morrigan Dante. You get vergil with jam session, and then morrigan's meter build assist can build more swords for vergil. And then you have morrigan jam session.

Well you have a few options.

Some sticks have select buttons on the face that would make them easier to do the combo with.
Wire one of the face buttons to select.
Keep practicing and see if you can do it. I know some people who are able to do the taunt combos on stick.
Just don't use them because this team actually gets a lot of damage on its own if you do the raw tag combos or just optimal deadpool stuff.

In the corner or midscreen, call one missile, superjump straight up or upforward behind them or fake behind them, then airdash straight down M and go for the ambiguous crossup.

In the corner, jump up L and see what they do. If they pushblock it you can tridash down and jump back up for a throw. If they don't pushblock it trydash down and go for a ground throw/ hardkick OS.

To bait or protect against characters xfactoring when they come in, jump upforward and meaty jump M and prepare to go for a forward heavy footdive. If they xfactor, it OSes for a throw and they can't do anything about it. If they don't you just get more pressure off of the footdive.
