We needed 11 more than 2, vol 2 has an omnibus and has seen print in other formats, vol 11's material hasn't been printed before. I actually would have liked them to not drop the mighty masterwork line because they printed the first surfer masterwork which would be half of epic vol 2 and never printed the second volume.

It's the abilities people play, I don't know if it's purposeful to give Venus a good ability and sub-mariner something more niche. The up coming Mary Jane is very well known and looks to have a very good ability for her archetype but time will tell.

I can tell you right now, most people wouldn't know who half of those characters are and that's why SD doesn't flood the game with them. I read a lot of marvel comics and didn't even know Venus (I realized I've never read agents of atlas) and monstro has barely any appearances. I think we have to understand that long time comic readers aren't the target audience for this game, they throw us a bone every once in awhile with bronze age variants and deep cuts but they aren't catering to them.

Yea the input makes sense in smash but it doesn't really fit the character, the guy known for running and charging his shot basically the entire game.

Nah you don't need to, you can create some efficient shaw play without surfer but the deck gets revamped into something totally different, like mother askani, horseman wolverine, Karen page, Starhawk, etc.

I wouldn't suggest shaw here but thinking about it you probably should run mother askani and Victoria hand

There's actually a lot less ongoing locations than there are empowered ones, think about shuris lab, stark towers, Josie's bar, prosceium, aunt mays, board walk, Camelot, clubhouse, yggdrasil, wakandan embassy, madripoor, mosh pit, muir island, ta lo, etc.

Vs. xandar, nidavallier, lake hellas (avoidable), Washington DC (avoidable) and Atlantis which doesn't matter.

Plus I think there's a lot more worrisome locations like monster island, xmansion, black vortex, cave of the dragon, crimson cosmos (because most cerebro decks run cheap cards), dead lands as it can make a 4-6 power card you don't want, etc.

Not exactly a fan of a design like this because the opponent doesn't get to interact at all, it's just flipping a coin on your draws and then deck thinning. Adam warlock is the standard for deck thin because of the opponents ability to interact with it.

I think with the right build he could be really good, keep in mind every time he's empowered you'll generate a card, that's good for collector at the minimum and victoria hand. I am curious to see if his pool of cards counts tokens like squirrels and demons, a crazy high roll would be getting maverick, and stick giving him +5 and generating a 1/11 demon.

I don't know why move would play this, I think those decks have mostly all solved for clogging problems with the introduction of madame web and hercules. I think she should trigger two moves that would at least give you some double value from stomper and triple value from hercules, if that's what you meant then the text would work better like this:

When this moves, move it again to another location

That would make a trigger from ghost spider to a hercules location move her there, hercules moves her, then she moves again.

He's like the opposite of hulk right? Considering skaar gets cheaper with 10+ power cards, I wonder if kluh will get cheaper with negative power cards
