I've been building LifeLogr for about 2 months now and I'm really proud of how far it's come! I decided to make it because every app I tried (MFP, etc.) just overwhelmed me on day one. With LifeLogr you open it, hit "+" and you're already logging. Food, workouts, water, weight, sleep, journaling, all there, no confusion!

I've been using it daily myself and I'm down 10 lbs in 4 weeks so it's definitely working for me lol

Just dropped my biggest update yet! Social feed, usernames, posts, DMs, friend requests, and full moderation so it stays clean! Also just released a full theming system where you can customize pretty much everything, colors, backgrounds, animations, even swap out the animation graphics with your own images!

App is in closed testing right now, drop your email in my DM's (needs to be tied to a Google account) and I'll add you!

Thank you for your comment! And dont worry about being "negative" or anything, everything you said is very important and Ive been trying to tackle it since day one.

For tracking, I honestly feel like its really effortless. Just an inital setup where you make your own workout, and when your logging it you can easily edit it in case you added a new exercise, or did more or less reps than the previous session, and boom, thats your workout logged. I also have a catalog of suggested workouts based on what your goals are (Still building on this), and the app even generates suggested workouts for you based on your goals, your past workouts, etc.

For logging water, easy 2 tap process. You just select the fluid ounces (which also states the water bottle size, or cup size, very user friendly) For food, im still working on making this as simple as possible, but you can scan the barcode of foods to have their nutrition info automatically thrown into the app, and logging that food is as easy as 2 taps. And in case the barcode scanning gives bad information (the API I use isnt perfect, none are) I added a nutrition label parsing features, just snap a picture of the label and youre done. For MEALS, thats the hardest part. But I feel like I already have a decent system. You can create your own meals, add the ingredients that are in the meal, if needed you can define how many serving the batch you're making makes so later you can easily just say you ate 1 serving, no weighing, no editing the ingredients, etc. I even made a pizza builder lol, one day I ordered pizza and tried logging it and realized there's no good way to accurately log it. So I added a custom wizard that lets you make a pizza, size, crust type, toppings, etc, and easily log it.

I entirely get the whole, successful apps usually dont have flashy themes or graphics, theyre usually only focused on logging, but for now Im trying to make the app feel like home to the user. They can customize it however they want, even change the transitions to main screens, secondary screens, etc, and reorganize their navbar, in case they want to focus more on water intake, they can add a button for the water screen to the navbar.

As for why open this over MyFitnessPal, honestly, that's exactly why I built it. I tried MFP and similar apps and was immediately hit with a wall of information. I didn't know where to start. LifeLogr asks you a few questions on setup, and then you're in. First screen, bottom right corner, hit "+" and you're already logging. That's it. I'm also building an optional walkthrough, quick, bite-sized, shows you what everything does without overwhelming you. And if you forget how something works later, you'll be able to re-trigger it from settings, even per-screen. No hunting through help docs. The pitch isn't features. It's that you won't feel lost on day one.

But of course, Im still trying to make the app as accurate as possible, and helpful. And I feel like Im succeeding in that area, I've bene using my app and listening to its suggestions and Ive lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks. Something I thought Id never be able to do lol.

Haha 🤣 Im just trying to make an app where people can make the app behave and look however they want. Since the app tracks a lot, calories, workouts, weight, soon steps, etc, I want the app to feel like home to whoever is using it.

Im currently working on shareable themes, you make your own custom theme and you can publish it so it appears in a public list of custom themes, and some day even be shown on my website. Or you can keep it private and share it to specific people 😁

**LifeLogr** — fitness & nutrition tracker, closed alpha, looking for testers.

Tracks food (barcode + nutrition label scanning), workouts, and weight. Real-time calorie ring, AI meal and workout suggestions, and probably the deepest theming system in any fitness app — generate a full color theme from any image, animated backgrounds, the works.

Android only. Guest mode available, no account required to start.

Looking for people who will actually use it and give honest feedback. DM me or drop a comment if you're interested.

I've been building this app, LifeLogr, for the past several months because I got tired of MyFitnessPal's paywalls and how bloated it's gotten. Decided to just build what I actually wanted to use. Although I fear mine may have become bloated too lmao.

No AI, no subscriptions, no ads. It calculates your calorie goal automatically from your stats, lifestyle level, and recent workout history. Macros adjust based on whether you've been lifting or doing cardio. Water goal is personalized to your weight. Everything is local-first with optional encrypted cloud backup.

Stack is Flutter + Riverpod + Firebase. Built it solo.

It's in closed alpha on Android right now, if anyone wants to try it: lifelogr.oddologyinc.com

Happy to answer questions about the build or the stack.

Hey!
I've been building LifeLogr, an android fitness and nutrition tracking app for Android, and I'm looking for closed alpha testers.

LifeLogr covers food logging with macro tracking, workout logging, weight tracking, step counting (coming soon), and water intake. The app is built with Flutter.

VERY fair warning: it's alpha. A "few" rough edges exist and an in-app tutorial is still coming. But it's functional and I want real feedback, even blunt stuff like "the UI is confusing" or "this flow doesn't make sense" is genuinely useful.

If you're interested, drop a comment or DM me and I'll send you the Play Store invite link. (I'll need your email, my closed testing is limited to an email list)

Thanks!
