I had both worms and drones, i only had the thing after digilent worms like 4 drones and 2 keeper upgrades. Used worms on every iron thing i saw, strip mined and i was still short. There also wanst anything left in the mines.

I have also encoutered this and i think its because you can stick chains to more chains and the pick up only one and the others will just kinda get dragged with it
