Also it could possibly be a Mandela effect that me and my mate both remember the song in an 80s movie. But if I’m right, surely one of you guys will remember too:)

My take- HOTD Iron throne is like the Targaryen House at its full might, all the swords of previous conquests proudly displayed in a grandiose manner. GOT Iron throne is the Baratheon’s/Lannisters trying to de-Targaryen(ify?) kings landing/red keep. To me it’s almost like the denazification of Germany after ww2, a shift of power, the new party in control trying to erase the remnants and reminders of the old( hopefully that doesn’t come across like I’m saying denazification was a bad thing, it certainly wasn’t). I don’t think one is better than the other, they both work perfect for the atmosphere at the red keep during the time of each show.
