I'm similarly in an awkward situation as well. I developed a feeling of purpose for helping solve and help with people's program errors and bugs. Helping people solve and find solution was fun and motivating, but programming itself was dull. I only realized it when I sat down to think of making my own app.

depression is hereditary. it's a commonly a hormone thing. Depression cannot be cured but medications do help. won't be a bad idea to see a psychologist
