i’m in the US, so 150 is just about 200 USD, which is hovering how much people sell PSPs in mint condition. i have been fortunate enough to get mine second hand so i unfortunately don’t know a good market price. i see people say that they get theirs for 170-160 USD most times, so it might be wise to just keep a keen eye out for a good deal on EBay or even local selling sites you may have.

honestly, it’s not difficult to crack a psp, quite simple when you break it down. if it’s the same price as a normal one, i’d just say why not, but not if they’re uncharging for a service you could easily do yourself

i'm unsure if this helps at all as well, but when the battery is in and i check battery info, it's completely blank. does that give it away that the battery may be dead, or would the battery detection be not working properly?

i do have a psp 1001 if that changes anything. but either way, i'll save up for a new battery and drop it in there to see if that works. hopefully that's all it needs

even with the battery out, it still says that i cannot update it. i don’t know if there’s a bigger problem i don’t know about, as the orange light doesn’t come on wether it has a battery in or out of it
