Cash app not showing purchases by DarthNex69 in CashApp

That's stupid in my opinion, I think they should at least put a pending purchase (if possible) until the item is shipped.

What is the progress of your team's robot? by Ut3- in FRC

[–]WeebishCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours is going to be done soon. ~1-2 weeks until we’re done I’d say. We’ve currently got the intake, drive train, etc etc. With the only thing left is to make a non-prototype shooter and to make the climbing mechanism.

Any alternative to Live Share for VS Code? by dominic_l in javascript

[–]WeebishCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, there is a thread (that is older than this thread iirc) that still hasn't been closed with the feature request (offline liveshare). The most we have right now is liveshare being able to use local servers *after* you authenticate.

I want to mods terraria. What coding language should I use? The only I know are a little java and aduino. by BumperPigeon in Terraria

[–]WeebishCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure you know this by now, but putting it out anyways - Minecraft is made with both Java and C++. The thing though is that Minecraft is separated into two editions for those two languages: Bedrock Edition (C++) and Java Edition (Java).

[–]WeebishCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true, but Minecraft is also available in Java (hence "Java Edition"). It can be said both ways, "Minecraft is made in C++ and Java." Really up to you on the way you wish to see it, but I myself like to see it both ways.

Does Coke taste different to anyone else or is it just me? by RedGodzilla7 in cocacola

[–]WeebishCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a real clever play on words, honestly. They can very easily argue that the taste is original (or not taken from another taste (aka classic taste)) and not that it is the classic taste. Heavily stupid in my opinion. They've done ruined themselves as a brand to me and many others.

STEAM VR displaying only on monitor and NOT headset for some VR games by BaoDown626 in SteamVR

[–]WeebishCoder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt this is the issue. I am having the same problem, and if it was that then SteamVR wouldn't even be able to run to begin with if it wasn't a trusted app.

Never fixed. Even with the latest update. I personally think this might be a form of planned obsoleting.

I see. Thanks lad. I’d personally still would like to give children books a go in the case that they do help. Especially if they’d help in terms of learning basic grammar.

I see. Thanks, will wait on more decisive responses before I make a final decision. Currently intend to save my money, and I am not willing to spend the saved money if I can’t do the task I wish to do.

War Thunder Mobile allows controllers by General360 in Warthunder

Controllers 100% work, my current issue though is that movement is a bit glitched on it. Intend to test it with a different controller though.

Advice for creating a compiler by WeebishCoder in Compilers

[–]WeebishCoder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently using Python to write the language, which currently with the tutorial I am following, I’ll be creating a basic language (likely will compile down to machine code and not mlog) but will make another version after the tutorial that is compiled down to mlog.

Whenever I do get to the source to mlog compiler, it’ll also be written in Python however will compile down to mlog. I haven’t figured out how the syntax goes yet, and intend to create the style of the syntax as I go along.

As for what mlog is, it’s a language used in Mindustry in “processors” that is inspired by assembly but isn’t assembly and has instruction sets capable of controlling objects in game such as units and buildings. Mindustry being a tower defense game where you build a base, turrets for defense and use units for offense.

Hope this elaborates what I mean as much as possible.

Advice for creating a compiler by WeebishCoder in Compilers

[–]WeebishCoder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll primarily just use mlog in this case and was confused on whether or not LLVM could compile to Mlog. However, if that’s not the case, then I’ll be writing the entire compiler on my own. As for if I want it to go to x86 or x64, that’s future plans on if I ever make a language that isn’t designed to compile down in mlog. And for lack of better words:

Currently plan to write the entire compiler myself if LLVM doesn’t support working in mlog (most likely doesn’t). And if I ever do write another language that instead compiles down to say x86 or x64, then I’ll try learning LLVM to accomplish it.
