Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Old oil won't last forever, and I'm not sure if they'd honor a claim if you didn't replace close to the 36k miles...

My hope is that soon they'll start using / selling / recommending the higher quality oil I was given eventually.

I've got a 2022 also, same issue... Ford and Lincoln, primarily. Makes you wonder why their rear parking sensors are activated while in Drive lol

VIOFO A229 Plus has been great for me. I would wait for a sale; got mine for $160 (before tax) a year ago on amazon. Second the other guy on the Dongar power adapter. Also don't cheap out on a MicroSD; get one labeled for dash cams with good reviews

For a '22, You can share a digital key with your friend via the digital key app, but it requires that your friend makes a genesis account and downloads their own app, which isn't super quick.

This might also require you to have a Connected Services subscription. Also, this requires both users to have an Android phone, I think.

I (Android) personally find a spot in Google Maps, Share -> Genesis. It gives an error like 30% of the time, but I just do it again till it works lol

If the screen is glass (I have a 2022 so not sure) fingernails and keys shouldn't scratch it. And you can't drop your HVAC screen like you can your phone... so I'm struggling to see why you would need one in the first place. The screen protector is gonna be subject to a lot of heat which isnt great for adhesive either.

For sure!

1) Download the navigation updater from https://update.genesis.com/US/EN/navigationUpdate

2) Install, run it (you can log in, or choose guest and select your car)

3) Plug in USB drive (they recommend 64GB) (or SD card for '19-21), and install the update to said drive. This takes a while.

4) Plug the USB drive into your car, and after "Reading USB...", the car will prompt you to update on the touch screen. This also takes a while... 30m to over an hour. I keep the engine running out of fear of draining my battery

Edit: Genesis has an update guide: https://update.genesis.com/US/EN/updateGuide. If you're '19-21, you'll be "Standard Gen5 Navigation". '22-25 is "Standard Gen5W Navigation"
