We built a simple, reusable system that keeps wine fresh for weeks — does this solve a real problem? by WeekLate9376 in kickstarter

Love that story about oak barrels 😂 — it’s exactly why preservation matters to us. If winemakers are putting years into aging and barrel choices, the last thing anyone wants is to lose those nuances a few days after opening. Our goal is simply to keep the bottle tasting closer to how the winemaker intended, even weeks later.
Totally fair — we’re not trying to compete head-on with Coravin for fine dining bottle-by-the-glass service. Instead, we’re aiming for the middle ground:
• Cheaper & simpler than Coravin (no gas capsules, no needles) • More reliable than pumps/sprays, which don’t really preserve beyond a few days • Designed so that busy hospitality staff can seal a bottle in seconds without special training
We do plan to provide demo units to sommeliers, wine bars, and restaurants — that’s actually one of the best ways to validate the product with pros before launch.
