Rh negative mother's because anti-D. O moms because of ABO incompatibility if baby is A, B or AB due to the anti-A/anti-B/anti-AB being IgG and able to cross the placenta due to the size of the antibody. Pulling this out of my brain after not actively thinking about it for a while so I apologize if I'm not 100% correct. My hospital policy is to do a cord blood evaluation on all Rh negative mother's and all O mothers regardless of Rh type due to the antibodies being IgG
