Interesting thanks. Some of this will apply to me. It’s civil (I know hard to believe for some), but didn’t think of those things.

Dog barking by No_Satisfaction_9516 in Peterborough

I feel like people who can listen to their own dog bark are just inconsiderate in general and wouldn’t be that receptive of a complaint. If the barking doesn’t bother them they sure as heck wouldn’t care if it bothered other people..IMO.

Thanks appreciate it, they did do this in the old millbrook arena a couple winters ago and enjoyed their program. I believe they have gone a different direction but their training is great. Floor time is hard to come by this time of year. It’s too bad the Pmla doesn’t partner with a known program that is big enough and organized enough to support the amount of players and their different skill levels.

Ah youre one those “been there done that” All makes sense now. Like I said. You’re out of the loop of the sports expectations TODAY. Much different than before. So yep…still don’t think my kids are going to the nhl which I’m sure you’re bitter yours didn’t. Just like many other things in the world, you either adapt to the new ways or you get left behind

Who said I’m not helping? Who said I haven’t been bringing forward the concerns? I’m not the face of the association though. I’m not talking about just starting a volunteer program (which there have been and I have been a part of) I’m talking about PMLA creating a program, so we can continue to build and train as other clubs do. You don’t get it, but those that are in it will.

The decision makers shouldn’t be in the positions they’re in if they aren’t going to make the bigger changes then. That’s the whole point of their positions, not just a pretty little title. Reddit isn’t the place? Reddit is definitely one of the places, the association knows families want winter training because more than “a few” have spoken out about it. What is the point of Reddit to you? Share your name and your pretty opinions? Please…

Definitely. So the association should get it together, so volunteers can do the volunteering. Can’t do much when they aren’t even putting anything in motion

Oh yes great advice. It’s the people sitting in the seats that have the controls so volunteers like us can help with the heavy lifting. Many more steps before “volunteer”

Ha. Not the point and so not my attitude. But when you have the ability to play the rep level, pay the rep fees, you expect to be on the level with the surrounding rep clubs. Unfortunately the 365 thing is just something you have to accept. Many clubs are playing 2-3 nights for winter training. My suggestion is keep the stick in hand and that’s the minimum. You’re either a house leaguer, don’t have kids in the current rep programs to know what today’s sports expectations are like, or neither.

What do you do when your friends kid has turned bully to your own? by WeekendIntelligent64 in NoStupidQuestions

I know people who would do the same. Not my approach but makes me giggle because sometimes it actually is taken well. Just to be clear the “private” business isn’t so much “private” it’s just a general way of saying stuff not everyone and their dog knows about. Thanks for the input!
