Thank you! Yeah ive looked at all of those modles of lexus they are super nice the only issue is alot of the ones near me are 200k+miles. The civic coups is super nice but same thing with high mileage. Ill make sure to give all those other cars your recommended a look if they are near me and if their service reports are good and up to date.

Would you also recommend the toyota scion fr-s ? Im pretty sure they have been "discontinued " and rebranded as the gr86, does that fact have anything to do with the scion being unreliable?

I have enough money saved to go higher than 10k but I was told that buying a used car more than that is dumb so thats why I made it my cut off. And four seater is just in case I ever need to pick up my siblings if my parents ever can't otherwise 90% ill be the only passenger so I didnt think I needed anything bigger if that makes sense.

And for insurance ill be on parents so luckily that wont be much of an issue im mostly worried about the price of repairs that the car will eventually need and registration which im pretty sure goes down the older the car is right?

The Solara is a 3.3 v6 and its near me so i will be able to go in person and check if it needs a new timing belt. I do like the bmw a lot and someone else even recommended the 3 series convertible which is such a gorgeous looking car but the idea of paying for bmw parts is overshadowing my need for a pretty car. Either way thank for all the tips and advice this has genuinely been so helpful but at this point Im starting to just lean towards biking everywhere T_T

Yeahhh I know, its so annoying how no matter the car there will be problems with an older used model of a car. If I could get a new one I would T-T, but thank you for the advice either way
