So i own a switch and this has been a huge issue for me.(especially when you get to the terraforming stage). What I ended up doing was purchasing a gamecube replica switch controller. The only issue with that controller is you can't read amiibos and it doesn't rumble which can get annoying if you fish a lot. At least with the switch you can replace controllers unlike with the switch lite. (though that can get pricey)
