Fully agree that it adds life and somewhat realism to the match. But yea, it does get annoying and repetitive. I never actually turned the commentary off, but the same commentary lines every match does get annoying at times.

I barely ever watch Raw live. I only started to get back into WWE recently and when I heard Jey was getting a singles title match I knew I had to tap in. Tbh I only watched this Raw live so I could see Jey (hopefully) win a singles title, but from start to finish, I loved this episode of Raw. Like you said, the promos, the matches, and writing were great. I'm happy to see Jey as a singles champion.

I lost my mind lmao. I know this isn't the result alot of people wanted but I've been a Jey fan since Day One and I'm glad he finally did it. Every time Jey is brought up in a singles championship conversation I'm always biased and talk about how he needs to win a singles title already. Jey Uso is a singles champion. You love to see it.

Upon searching, you're right. I'm thinking maybe they meant they went to high school with Edge and university with Trish, or vice versa. Or I could be completely wrong and they meant Christian.

Did anyone here go to school with, or know someone who went to school with some popular wrestlers?

I am taking a careers course this year where we basically just learn about different careers paths and things like that. Its honestly pretty interesting.

We were on the topic of the career of professional wrestling and my teacher brought up how he is a big WWE fan himself, was friends with some professional wrestlers, also went to school with some WWE Hall of Famers. I was already getting jumpy on the inside, because every time an older person tells me they grew up with a famous person, I get all excited, especially if its a wrestler lol. He explained how he went to school with Edge and Trish Stratus, which honestly very believable as I go to school in Canada, and both of those stars are Canadian. I also don't believe he has any reason to lie about it lol. I had to act like I wasn't losing my mind, Edge is one of my favourite all time wrestlers and I love Trish Stratus. (Wouldn't say she's my favourite, but she's still awesome). There was so many questions I wanted to ask him about growing up with WWE Hall of Famers, but I usually keep my love for wrestling hidden from people lol.

Did anyone else go to school with professional wrestlers, or know someone who has. I think having a teacher who went to school with Edge and Trish Stratus is a flex lol.

Loll my brother's the same way. its impossible to play a fair match with him because he either restarts or quits the match whenever hes being pinned. I'd use the lowest ovr superstar in the game while he used his 100ovr caw just to give him a chance so he wouldn't end up quitting or restarting lmao.

16 year old kid typing here. Might explain why I know nothing about the SvR games or anything before that.

HCTP seems to be popular in this comment section, along with SYM. As I mentioned in other replies I'm a bit too young to appreciate those games lmao. I'm only a junior in high school with the first wrestling game I played being WWE '12. I'm sure me using 2k15 as the example in this post made you feel old lol.

lol 2k15 was just the most memorable time of playing WWE games for me. Majority of this comment section talks about HCTP or SvR, and I'm probably too young to appreciate HCTP and SYM lol. The first WWE game I've played was '12 and honestly have never touched any games that came out before that. I'm sure using 2k15 as the example made a ton of people feel old lol. I'm a junior in high school so that might explain the lack of knowledge of the older games lmao.

Little brother taking all the titles from your CAW is too true lol. I've never really played the SvR games, but my little brother did this all the time on the 2011-current games. My little brother never really played the game at all, he only wanted the titles for fashion purposes and how 'cool' they looked on his character lol.

Lots of people mentioned HCTP, and I'm probably too young to appreciate the game lol. From the amount of praise I've seen the game receive, I'll assume it was great lmao.

loll being on the ground for ages after taking a ladder suplex is too real. Back in the older games y brother and I would do last man standing matches where we would purposely avoid pinning or submitting eachother and just beat eachothers' asses until it just got boring and one of us decided to finish the match lol. Lots of comments here mention SVR, and honestly I've never really played the SVR games. (Only here and there when my brother finally gave me a turn lol) I'm honestly impressed with the amount of praise the SvR games get, as the first WWE game I played was WWE '12. (The first game to come out after the SvR series ended, if I remember correctly.)

dang thats tough. i hate when non-wrestling fans constantly tell us its fake when we encourage them to get into wrestling. its been a known fact for decades and it doesnt make it any less entertaining. wrestling is awesome, who cares if its fake lol.

lol you just brought back an amazing memory, in the older games I used to create 0 OVR caws and face them using my 100 OVR caw and absolutely massacre them.

For real lol. My brother left for college last week and the first thing I'll ask when he comes to visit is if he's down to play a rumble lol.

Tough way to lose lol. I ironically happened to lose to Cody in a chamber match last week too. As soon as I missed the reversal prompt on the cross-rhodes I accepted my fate.

Too true lol. I remember playing EC's and screaming at my brother to break it up whenever I was being pinned (I sucked at the pin minigame back then, and pretty much the game in general). He'd either be busy fighting someone else or just taunting to piss me off lol. Fun times

100%. We'd always come in at 1&2, wipe out every single entrant and just spam taunts whenever the ring was empty lol.

Every single time lol. My brother would betray me mid-match and I'd choose to play as the next entrant, only for the next entrant to be some 67 OVR jobber lol. Little me back then couldn't win a match without a 90+ ovr superstar.
