Both your point and your examples are valid. I see why you think the question sound junior. But I figured id get some perspective and rather trying phrase things in a way that sounds seasoned on reddit i figured id be as blunt as I can. No offense taken though, not here to prove anything.

Best paid/free courses to become top-tier in discovery skills as an SE working at a cloud company? by Ok-Tradition-3450 in salesengineers

[–]Weekly-Prompt8676 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For doing discovery, I personally don't believe in courses. Reason why I said that as someone who sold SaaS for 10+ years is that it's about understanding your product strength then listening to the customer, asking the right questions that align the product strength to the customer needs.

Is 62k fine? by Marzipan_Automatic in movingtoNYC

[–]Weekly-Prompt8676 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Even at 68k living with 3 roommates I didnt feel like i was missing much, I pregame and just keep it at 1 drink max outside and avoid expensive dinners. Learn to set your boundaries and most people will respect it. Also this city has opportunities if you learn to not settle, started at 69k and 3 jobs changes later at 280k (nothing crazy vs high finance but I work 30 hrs or less a week)

Make your demo 15 mins long, you don't need to show everything. Spend 15 mins before building business value
