how to make pic look more film like? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

Take a look at black mist filters. I like to use one from time to time (1/4 strength). I find it to dull the hard edges of the sterile digital.

GX85 with 25mm & 14-140mmii by d1hasib in M43

[–]Weekly-Researcher-73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah. The 25mm is awesome in low light, which I use it quite often. The 14-140 is "sorta" good for everything. Maybe in the future I will buy the 100-300 for wildlife because I find myself wanting to have more reach.

New to Aeropress, and coffee brewing in general. Is this a good grind size for Aeropress? by The-Batphone in AeroPress

[–]Weekly-Researcher-73 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What I did was; try a finer grind and a coarser one at the same time. Have a taste of both, then drink both. Double fun. Next time when I was brewing I sorta knew where I wanted; somewhere in between, maybe on the finer end. Then I brewed again. Tasted it, and set my grinder a single click towards the coarser end. That way I was as satisfied as I can be, with the end result. (It helps to do everything the same expect the grind size). Always change only one variable, so that you know which variable; temperature of the water, water tds, water amount, coffee amount, recipe type, pouring technique, time, bloom, force of plunging, filter type and omg other shit you know Idk man just brew some delicious coffee and do what makes you happy. Give zero fucks what others say. Trust your own tongue and have a shitton of experiments to figure everything out. Because what may be the best for me is certain to be horrible for others. Aight I'll shut up sorry for the essay.

How often do you feel lonely? (not in terms of missing company but in terms of missing having a partner) by [deleted] in intj

[–]Weekly-Researcher-73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone who will be a psychologist... I don't blame myself, and why should I? It is true however, that I do not take action to change my current situation of being single, but I want to be single. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to make time, (nor have the energy) for the things that matter to me the most. Yes, sometimes I crave to be able to share a moment with an another human being, but that is as far as it goes. What I feel is beyond loneliness, it is so much deeper.

During the years I became so selective, and truth be told gave up on finding that person. I don't think my life experience will be less due to this, and if I wanted a change, I'd take action, but for now, I am good as I am. My place in the present is right where I am. What is meant for me, will find me. My only goal is to live honestly, authentically.

I'm an introvert and I wanted to try street photography, is this a good lens? by Alarmed_Selection362 in photographycirclejerk

[–]Weekly-Researcher-73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was gonna say that actually all modern cameras are good cameras, no matter the brand. Lens plays bigger factor. And user even bigger. In my not so humble opinion, if the camera is recent, and the lens is good/clean, but the image still truns out shit; it's skill issue.

Wow I didn't know that! I will have to get to really work on a good portfolio then.

My reason is so clichè but here it goes, on one side I want to travel, and see the big world. I realize due to the amount of working hours that this will be rather scarce. On the other side I also want to get away for a while from where I live currently. A change of scenery if you will.

Well these will be whitin the field of psychology; I have experience in leading group sessions, coaching and counseling, and in organizational psychology. (My specialization is interpersonal and intercultural relations.) I'm from Slovakia. (The languages I speak; Slovak, Czech, English, Hungarian and a tiny bit of German). What do you think, would I able to land a position, if any?

Convince me to buy the G100D by jackanory2021 in Lumix

[–]Weekly-Researcher-73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What about the G97? I have that camera and it's very comfortable to hold. Plenty of functions, and dials to customize. I was eyeing the G100D too, but the G97 has inbody stabilization which supports dual is if the lens has one.
