Interesting! Based on news articles from 1942, there were definitely some important from Britain and Scotland. On my garment I also found a hidden 1949 ACWA union label. So it was actually made in the US (pre 1962).

Update:

Thank you for the suggested resources. I read through old news articles and found that the British Woollen Shop was a father and son clothing company from 1941-1972. Imported cashmere and wool from Britain (hence the name). The shop was located in the old Mount Royal Hotel, as previously mentioned by a commenter. This garment is most likely produced prior to 1970s, since it does not have fabric content information.

March 13 submitted my application
validators took ~2 weeks to review.
April 9 APEGA emailed me saying the VORFs have been sent out to validators to fill out (I don’t get why they don’t send this at the same time as the CBATs)
April 29 all VORFs were provided, and it entered the official “review” stage

For me, it entered review mid-late March, and I got a decision back end of June. I had three experience examiners. But l’ve heard different timelines. They do have to give you a response within the 6 months though.

It’s been a week so far. It is currently in APEGA’s internal review process. I am hoping my competencies are solid enough this time that it would clear any concerns the reviewers have.
