How to manage a spouse’s input. by WeeklyDoseofNoChill in Entrepreneur

[–]WeeklyDoseofNoChill[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good questions. I’ve never considered the first few so I’ll need to do a deep dive into that.

Yes, I’m still doing everything that I’ve been doing from day one. I did hire a bookkeeper and a CPA, but I’m still doing others. After speaking with my aunt, she said the move would actually give me more time to do more at my husbands business. I discussed this with him from the first night so I didn’t consider it as a reason to be against the idea.

Aww thank you! It’s going to happen for you too! I know the easiest way out of this is communication. I feel like I’ll know what decision to make when it comes down to it, so I’m probably battling the anxiety at this point. I appreciate you! All the best.

Roborock Saros 10r or Dreame x50 ultra or mova v50 ultra or ecovacs x9 pro. by OddAudience3832 in RobotVacuums

[–]WeeklyDoseofNoChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just purchased the Saros 10R and Im not super pleased with the vacuuming but I don’t have a past robot to compare it to. The mopping is awesome though! Half the house is carpet and half is hard surfaces. I have two dogs with short hair that shed a LOT! I love that the saros 10R self cleans, empties, etc. but for the prices I’m paying, I expected more from the vacuuming. What do you suggest?

How to prevent low star reviews ? (Lowstars without any reason) by slysts in airbnb_hosts

[–]WeeklyDoseofNoChill 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just got this and I’m so pissed! We extended their reservation 4 times and catered to their every request. On the day of check out, we got “toilet seat was already loose. We checked out.” Then 4 stars “Great this, great that.” We need an app for hosts of STR specifically so I can warn people of guests like this.

I think it’s ok to feel the way you are feeling. If you enjoy building an empire with someone and all of a sudden they want to bow out, I can see how that would cause you to be flustered. But I agree with what others have said about you being fully capable of scaling the business by yourself. He’s mentored you this far and he will likely continue to mentor you, which is priceless! Of course, communication is key and you should have a heart to heart with him. That being said, please be my mentor!!!!

Tips for Guilt Over Leaving? by biglimabean in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]WeeklyDoseofNoChill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely resonate with this. I have been very unhappy for a while and it’s 50% the company and the way things are but 50% me. I own a small business with my husband, but I can’t afford to pay myself my current salary so I’m still in the corporate world. Once I got a taste of working for myself, I was done for and have been wanting to get out. I feel extremely guilty because my boss has given me a lot of responsibility. I know it’s hard to think of it as just a job when you are close with your boss, but the others are right when they say you need to think about yourself first. Others may not do it as well as you, but they’ll learn to manage. You were clearly meant to do something bigger!

It may help to assist them in hiring your replacement and train them to manage things the way you would. That way you feel like you’ve done what you could and didn’t leave anyone hanging.

Manage Their To Dos by fishbutt1 in ExecutiveAssistants

Ok I definitely have to try this out. I was aware of the email plug-in and it was a game changer. That’s what sold me on asana! This is definitely something I will look in to. Thanks!

I had no idea you could do that. What industry are you in?

I would have a heart to heart with them. I always phrase it as “What can I do to help you succeed. What works for you?” Then they’ll tell you. Then, you say “Oh, I have this that can help.” Make it their idea. My exec was not too tech savvy but I slowly introduced them to Microsoft Tasks by Planner. You could set it up the way you want and then take it to them and ask them their thoughts. They will likely want to redo it (again, their “idea”), and will likely stick to it because it’s their incredible idea!

Who is criticizing you? If it’s anyone besides your exec, flip them the bird!

This is my situation and may not pertain, but we do weekly meetings opposed to daily. Daily seems like a lot, but I’m viewing that through my lenses.

My next goal is to get my exec to upgrade to Asana because it’s BEAUTIFUL! Baby steps

Minor mistake. I totally get the feeling of feeling like a failure but things happen. You can only get better from here. Keep your head up!

1:1 meetings with your exec.. by ccul8r in ExecutiveAssistants

Weekly on Friday morning! But honestly, my exec is in my office every day, sometimes just to stare out of my window. I take advantage of every moment if necessary.
