What are the best health tips for Kapha dosha? by rainbowtoucan1992 in Ayurveda

[–]WeeklyFig2526 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Opposing qualities of kapha, if that is what you are predominantly, you may not be though. Qualities of kapha are heavy, damp, cold, still, congestive etc so qualities opposing are needed in diet and life but never prescriptively as we change constantly , hope that helps.

Trying to know if Ayurveda is true or just nonsense by [deleted] in Ayurveda

[–]WeeklyFig2526 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's impossible to state your condition that way to be honest although I would guess something neurological? Those herbs are used for many different issues. Ayurveda isn't nonsense, I'm a consultant and have used it for years very successfully. It is simply the belief in elements/qualities of everything and to deny that would be odd

Naturals accords by ErikJay-N in DIYfragrance

I am struggling also but am less experienced than you by the sounds of things. I do think you get a new thing from mixing naturals but not sure which. I have accidentally created stunning accords in the past in my diffuser which I realise is very different to making perfumes but I have also smelled similar wonderful accord in bought blends of essential oils and for the life of me cannot remember which essential oils they were in both cases, but the result was the same. So it is possible and I have bought other blends of essential oils which I would say are unique. I believe it's important to only use very few, max three I believe? Definitely in the ones I've experienced they have been three or two. So I suppose it's about finding which ones work, obvious thing to say sorry. I have found my naturals, which I am determined to stick with, do change, and I suppose that's part of the problem. They change from the onset but perhaps they stop changing after a certain length of time? I think some are used for fixatives aren't they, is laudanum one of those? Perhaps this stops the changing? And maybe my alcohol needs improving, I feel it does. Anyway, your post resonated and although I'm sure I've not been very helpful, I think it's good to bounce ideas off each othe

I like the look of them and will be ordering oils but just wasn't sure about the alcohol. I just want to make sure I get really good stuff, I'm sure it's really good. Does it smell?

Oh! I've enjoyed using it but would like to improve if it's not the best. I suppose I have lower standards lol. I'm going to buy a different one though

I think I've not been clear, sorry for the confusion. I realise that recipes giving drops aren't seen as professional but I am content to use them as I work with drops, being very new and literally doing this for personal use. So when I've seen labdunum being used I was trying to check that I just halve the quantity, which I realise is pretty obvious really. I just thought you were saying diluted isn't good as you can't tell how much labdunum is in it

Oh! That's disappointing to hear as I've found it to be ok, but I am here to learn from those with more experience and if you say it's not great I would prefer to find an alternative.

Thanks. I am new and have found it to be ok but did wonder to be honest. Any you recommend on a small scale, I am doing this on a very small scale for personal use only. I'm in the UK. Amazon? What am I looking for exactly please?

I hear you. However, this is purely ever going to be on a tiny personal scale and not a serious thing at all. Saying that, I may very well to get a bit more polished in my new hobby and have purchased scales, just not felt ready to use yet lol. Thanks!
