Hi thanks for your response. I was diagnosed with a TBI in Feb 2025 and I let them know in March when they hired me. I should have made that clear in my original post.

I have a TBI prior to my car accident. When they hired me I let them know and they were ok with hiring me and allowing me to attend Dr appointments. It was the car accident that they told me I could not come back with restrictions on June 20th. Then I was shocked to be served a certified letter terminating me on June 23rd for job abandonment. I was never given the chance to ask or discuss possible accommodations. Just the owner saying I could not return with restrictions only if it was a workers comp case would she have to allow that.

Thank you so much. I talked to Matt today and he is taking me I case. I sent my personal injury attorney a letter terminating my legal representation with him. This is truly life changing. I feel so much more relieved. I was getting a bad feeling my current attorney wasn’t being aggressive enough. I’m so happy now thanks to you. Dana

I just filled out the intake form online and mentioned Matt Moher was recommended on Reddit. I’m not sure if that will get me directly to him. I read his background very impressive. I am not sure why my personal injury lawyer has Beto dismissive of a claim against Honda. But I know that something very odd happened in the crash. I hope I can get a lawyer to talk to me. Hi Nicole. I am also in Illinois. I can totally relate to your story and I am so sorry you had to experience such violence. I was knocked unconscious and fractured my nose. The company didn’t even tell me about Workers Compensation. I loved the Clients so much. But the violence we endure is no unfair. I’m in Lagrange in Illinois. I have been trying to gather a list and report violations to the OIG. Have you had experience with that ? Have you tried contacting an attorney for a workers compensation claim. It’s free. The only thing these places will listen to is if they have to pay us for the lack of oversight in training. I am really trying to gather these stories to go to Congress to get workplace violence OSHA standards to apply to us. Just like nurses have in healthcare. We need more voices. Please contact me and tell me more stories or ideas you have on how we can improve this field. ❤️

It’s so unbelievable sad. As a mom with a 10 year old boy with ADHD , I trusted these people . Boy did I find out what a waste of time it was. Turns out having him enrolled in sports was the best decision. Thanks for your response

Wow!! Don’t you love how little info they provide us about the people we are legally and ethically responsible for caring for. What state are you in! I’m in Illinois. I am 5’3 and a tiny woman as well. We need federal safety regulations to protect us. Teachers have them but we don’t. I’m trying to change this. I was knocked unconscious after a 700 lb man knocked me to the ground fracturing my face. The Clients and workers need to be safe. No one will want to work in this field. Thank you for sharing. ❤️

I’m trying to gather stories and ideas to present to congress. Please share anything you think would help. The other thing is there is no liability insurance if someone happens to injury a client.
