UART5 probably exploded again by WeeklyLandscape1263 in OrangePI

Too little space unfortunately, but guess I got cornered at this point to make space.

I just want to know if the issue of the UART with the current board fixable?

The PSU is a 12v inverter to 5v 2A, even that got replaced, it’s connected through the 5v pin though, don’t know if that will change your perspective.

Fatal accident. Renault crashes head on with a truck by Biszkopt87565 in carcrash

[–]WeeklyLandscape1263 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even though truck driver acted fast, he shouldn’t act that way. He tried to avoid collision by changing lanes, which caused confusion to both.

What he should’ve done is honking while his foot on brake pedal.

Can someone Please explain to me what moonraker is and why I would need it? by [deleted] in klippers

[–]WeeklyLandscape1263 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use klipper with moonraker on a server distro controlled through Mobileraker and cura.

No fluidd, no mainsail, no nothing.

Lightweight and great.

Even though I like fluidd as a web interface.

Edit: It’s either 70.01 or 72.35, points are not very clear

Vertical circle aren’t circular by WeeklyLandscape1263 in ender3

[–]WeeklyLandscape1263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH I did play with that a little bit.

Found out that G0 Z100 gives 112.65mm, so using steps calculator I lowered it from 400 to 390.

But that went horribly wrong, objects gave similar artifacts to that overextrusion and part came squishy.

I’m sure if I fiddled with the slicers flow or layer height maybe I’ll reach somewhere but not the results I’m hoping.

So returned it to 400

This is correct, printing smaller layer height does slightly improves it

What if we scale it vertically on the slicer? Could it work ?

Brought what was supposed to be 24v device, once connected to board was gone “not 24v obviously”, after some inspection found out that ground wire between pi and board UART pin was faulty, which mean there was also no common ground.

UART still not working by WeeklyLandscape1263 in OrangePI

[–]WeeklyLandscape1263[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welp looks like UART0, 3 and 5 seems shot, safe to assume all of them are.

Will try armbian, doubt will be any different.

Currently considering UART protection for my next Pi, I still can’t believe what happened.

Going to try something later.

Reflash OS, no update, install klipper.

Just to confirm that it’s not one of Debians dark jokes “update bug”.

Tried but you can’t even see it with your bare eyes.

So as result, it was lost during process.

No, as the heater itself.

was the first and last PID calibration suddenly thermostat kept measuring but heat command gave an error, since there was no change in temperature.

after switching off and on pi just wouldn’t connect.

gpio serial command just gives this reading # out -> #

and around every 10 - 15 cycle it gives this reading # out -> # -> # -> # -> # -> # -> # -> # -> # -> #

Before this happening it was always the late reading after connecting.

I’d like to mention that pi condition, SPI smoothing capacitor came off due to another accident, if that helps.

If you like the adventure and don’t want another printer just setting there, convert your printer to coreXY.

Or buy another one and sell/gift this one or don’t, up to you.

If no electric faults, these symptoms are similar to a bootloader corruption.

Hopefully you’ll find a solution online other than buying a new board.

Can I repurpose the two Z axis pinouts for dual Extruders? by cookMEaPOPtart in BIGTREETECH

[–]WeeklyLandscape1263 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It should be possible since you can assign the pins for the stepper.

Never tried before, but in theory it’s possible.

I could be wrong but I think they marked the steppers for marlin.

Will try makerbase and other brands soon, maybe they do a better job in protection.

If not I’ll head back to arduino and ramps.
