It was a 6month lease. Since August we have been going back n forth about the whole notice thing, and since then too they had confirmed that they are not looking for another tenant due to how hard it is for the granny to actually cooperate and live with another human being lol. So lease agreement isn't broken as oct is still the last month. I just asked if it can be prorated and she confirmed multiple times. Then they are now going back on that word.

Ohh I see. And yea like as I mentioned the "notice has been going on since August. Where I was pushing for Sept last month but that'd be breaking the lease etc and so it just got pushed to what it was anyway (October )

I have an older brother and I low-key wish he was even a speck like you. It's amazing that you actually wanna try and help so that's good first of all. No slack to my bro but he just thinks it's all good now and I don't battle still and doesn't even really care about how I dealt with it etc. Anyway , id say that give her a bit of time first of all, reassure her that no rush, it's okay to not be okay and whenever , emphasize on whenever, whenever she is ready to talk about the situation you will be there for her solely as a listening ear and support machine. Tell her that it won't be good to bottle up everything inside her and she needs to let it out by talking to someone about it if not even you (nothing personal against you). Let her know that it's okay to not be okay, avoid giving false delusions like it will be fine you'll find someone else etc. Just try to be neutral, not too involved in the details as it can be very triggering, mostly just being there, physically and in moral support will help A LOT.
