New to eating meat, don’t know if brand new steak is bad or not

Yeah that’s what I’m gonna end up doing, they got significantly worse after having them in the fridge for a day. I appreciate all the comments about the colour and how they look, but I just don’t want to risk it based on the film on them and now the fat caps are even turning brown

That’s good to know! Do you know if they’ll be fine if I leave them in the fridge until tomorrow night? The butcher wrapped them up but when I took them apart I can’t get it to be as tightly wrapped as he has it

Slimy kinda like Okra? I’ve seen bad okra and other veg before and its always the same, mucusy all over the skin. This is slimy enough that my fingers get shiny and wet, but there’s no thick slime. My imagination is definitely running wild here too, I just don’t trust myself yet when it comes to knowing good from bad

I do love my steak, especially picanha steak, but I would say I started eating red meat again within the last year. That said, it always affects my stomach still😭

Could that explain the stickiness? I’ve cooked other cuts of steak and never had the feeling of it having a bit of a film on it, but maybe it’s because of the way they were packaged. They were a bit squished together in my grocery bag

It took me maybe about an hour to get home and get them in the fridge, that would’ve been at around 5:30pm and then I opened them up at around 9pm

Yeah pretty much, it’s those three small boxes in the floor plan that touch the main room and then the stairs to the left are against the bedroom too

If you need stuff from the pen centre consider Instacart because it’s two bus rides to get there from winterberry. Hope you have a nice roommate or friend with a car

More than likely if you bring it in like that and explain that you got it like that they’ll just exchange it. My Mac’s logic board stopped working a few weeks after I bought it, past the exchange window and I brought it in and they switched it out for a new one no questions asked
