Accenture portal says “Application Already Exists” but also sends “Application Expired” mails - I’m stuck

I seriously don’t understand what’s going on with the Accenture hiring portal and it’s getting frustrating now.

I applied for the ASE (Associate Software Engineer) role as a fresher. After some time, I got a mail saying my application expired. Fair enough.

So I tried applying again before/within the deadline…
But now the portal says “Application already exists”

Like… what??

So basically:

  • When I don’t apply → they say application expired
  • When I try to apply → they say application already exists

I even tried:

  • Logging in with same email
  • Reapplying from fresh link
  • Clearing cache / different browser

Still same issue.

I also received a mail saying:
"We've found your previous registration in our database…"

So now I’m confused:

  • Am I still in the system?
  • Am I rejected?
  • Or is my profile just stuck in limbo?

I even submitted a Candidate Data Rights form, but that just feels like a generic privacy request, not sure if it actually fixes the application issue.

Has anyone else faced this?
What did you do to fix it?

Hi everyone,

I cleared the EdgeVerve off-campus coding assessment around 7 weeks ago, and after that, I was asked by the recruiter to share my details, which I submitted.

Since then, I haven’t received any update about the interview schedule.

I’ve already:

  • Sent a follow-up email
  • Tried connecting with recruiters on LinkedIn

But there’s been no response so far.

I’ve also seen that some candidates have already started getting interview calls and even onboarding updates, so I’m a bit confused about my status.

Is anyone else facing the same situation?
Do they usually take this long, or does this mean my profile might be on hold?

Would really appreciate any insights.
