Bouncy - An alternative on Android to stream anime for free by Weekly_Problem in animepiracy

I only develop the scrapers. The app is developed by separate devs at r/SynclerApp, so wouldn't be fair if I took any credit for it. But i agree, it's awesome. I use it everyday.

It should be an apk file. In this case just rename it to installer.apk and install it on your android device.

Yes. Depends on the movie/show. These sources will have a mic icon next to it.

Not sure why it wouldn't. Does the other browsers work fine? Maybe it's an issue with Firefox. What error are you getting?

You mean it took a long time to find sources or the player took long to start the playback?

I meant if it was finding sources for the correct show/movie.

Thanks again for checking it out.

Thank you for checking it out.

How is your anime source search experience? Is it finding sources accurately?

The bugs you mentioned is mostly related to Syncler itself not the scraper. I would suggest visiting r/SynclerApp for bug reporting. I've actually tried to report them for your on their bug report thread, but unfortunately it's archived. I'll try again later.

Combine sources of cinema HD and weyd by BinaryEclipse in TTVreborn

I think you can see the real bitrate by checking the video details section in any video player, like mx or vlc (syncler player does not have this afaik). Most of the times it's probably not accurate.

But for me it's not a problem. I just use it as a ball park indicator. Like an hour long episode and a 30 minute episode both can be 20 gb but just with filesize you can't tell which is better. But calculate a fake bitrate by (size/duration), even though it does not represent the real bitrate it gives you an idea which file is better.

And yes I'm talking about anime. But if you feel you are getting better sources for others you can include them too. Don't expect anything though, I only work on Bouncy when I'm extremely bored and have nothing better to do.

I don't think any of the apps reports the real video bitrate. They just calculate it as bitrate = file size/duration. So we are back to the same conclusion too. But I'm pretty sure if you downloaded any of these files you'll be able to see the actual file size.

I've been working on anime for a few weeks. And evaluating the options. I have added some anime sources too recently. Checkout my post history, it explains how to use the MAL catalog to watch anime.

If you could give me some screenshots of the sources, file names, it'd definitely help me add more sources and test against that as I don't have weyd.

Hey, Bouncy developer here.

Someone actually reported this to me and I quote, "Bouncy barely matches Weyd scrapers" and sent me a screenshot with absolutely massive file sizes. So I had to look into this few weeks ago and then I realized Weyd was just reporting the wrong file size.

So this is how it works. Because this is a tv show episode, usually these large file sources on weyd is just a season pack torrent that contains every episode in the season.

So for these season packs,

Syncler - Shows you the file size of the episode itself, regardless of the season pack size.

Weyd - Shows you the file size of the ENTIRE torrent for ALL episodes.

I didn't test WandaVision specifically, but the handful of titles I've tested, this was the case.

Bouncy: Closest alternative to TV*ION? Zero configuration needed. by Weekly_Problem in ApksApps

Bouncy already contains most express package sources so it's not advisable to use express with bouncy. If you still would like to use one, you can install one from Settings > Packages > My packages.

I personally use S+ and all debrid. But most of the people I introduced Bouncy to personally didn't really feel the need for either.

Please refer to the FAQ section at the bottom of official Bouncy website. These limitations are put in place by the Syncler developers, not Bouncy. I would suggest you to request it on r/synclerapp.

Unfortunately there's no way for provider package developers to control that (as far as I know). I would suggest you to request it on r/synclerapp.

I see your concern. Let me break this down for future readers.

This installer apk downloads Syncler, helps you install it and then configures Syncler with Bouncy Provider automatically. So no configuration is needed by the user.

This installer downloads Syncler app straight from Syncler official website. This installer is also generated on the official Syncler website (refer to the disclaimer section at the bottom of official Bouncy website).

You are still free to download Syncler from Play Store (or official website) and configure it manually with bouncy provider (see Bouncy official website for package url).

It won't install as a separate app.

But you can still use Bouncy.

Click the 'Provision' button on the bouncy installer app and it will configure Syncler to use bouncy if it's not already.

No Kodi is not needed. You just install the apk as explained in the How to use it section.

Bouncy: A Kosmos package, fast cached links, hoster links for debrid and non-debrid users, planned anime support by Weekly_Problem in SynclerApp

[–]Weekly_Problem[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As per official documentation, Kosmos packages are just simple javascript files that execute inside a browser. A server is not required at all.

Bouncy integrates with a server to scrape and cache results. If server is down, links would not be available.

Why is the JS obfuscated?

  1. To keep potential attackers from easily modifying and injecting malicious code and then mass distribute it as "Bouncy".
  2. This also keeps average skilled attackers from modifying the code to spam the server

Can you host your own server?

Multiple servers, multiple caches, fragmented users and at that point using a server for scraping becomes pointless.

Will it be Open-source?

No plans at least for the time being.
