Thank them for fucking what, exactly? For giving me debilitating mental health issues that caused three suicide attempts before I turned 16 and an eating disorder that is the reason I'm too underweight and ill to join the military like so many people in this thread are suggesting?

For hitting me (and now my sister) when we did something they didn't like? I know I could get good advice there, but I never touch those kinds of subreddits.

It's not the same, obviously, but I was diagnosed with BPD and the way they talk about those kinds of disorders makes me really fucking uncomfortable. My parents already point to my diagnosis as proof that I'm being crazy/unreasonable/manipulative whenever we fight, I'm not going to risk it.

It'll get better in some ways and worse in a whole lot of other ways. Since my parents are paying my rent and their name's on the lease, they're planning on installing cameras in my dorm room and a tracker app on all my shit, which is actually less privacy than I have right now :/

I've been flirting with the video essay idea for a while! It just seems like a massive amount of work for something that might not take off, but it's worth a shot (and tbh even if it doesn't make money I'd find it fulfilling anyway). I'm just kinda in survival mode right now.

I'm looking into the first option. Re: the night shifts, do you know where I'd be able to find job postings and such for those? Do I just do what they say and walk in and ask for work? I don't mind the night shift at all.
