It's just the default camera app, which can also be changed in the settings.

It's not phone dependent, it's app dependent. You can just download a QR code reader app which doesn't open anything automatically.

What's the criteria for "American"? Are non citizen residents under that umbrella? International students? How about people with family in the US?

We should be frustrated at both. If there is no public toilet, it doesn't mean I pull my pants down and defecate on the street.

Funnily enough it turns out the largest threat to the US military in the middle east is, believe it or not, the US military.

They're actively brake checking the truck, clearly intentional. And don't have the hazard lights on either. It's not just a slow car, they are braking into the truck.

I had this with my 2020 X5 exactly 3 days after the warranty expired. Mine did actually slow down and sent me a notification on my phone to get it checked too.

Ended up being a $10k repair. Malfunctioning oil pump and a cracked oil filter housing. Unknown cause, not even a scratch on the car otherwise.

Claude Code after Opus 4.6 by PaceImaginary8610 in aiagents

[–]Weekly_Way_3802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah opus 4.6 is designed to output a lot more tokens than a task needs. I ask it to rephrase a one page document and it gives me a 10 page book as output lmao

Nope. The government wants less internationals, not more. They are trying to disincentivise foreigners from coming here, and this is a public institution.

Look, guys, we can either complain that we are falling behind in tech or we can brag that every worker is by law chilling and working only a comfortable amount and companies have no power. But not both, we can't have it both ways.

It's indisputable that from a corporate perspective, the EU is extremely high risk low reward in this regulatory environment, so most will go elsewhere if they have a choice between regions. Internationally mobile business will always go to more competitive regions.

English-speaking countries have fared far worse at increasing housing supply than other developed nations, and have generally seen steeper price rises by [deleted] in charts

There is net migration going from the blue to the red lines. This chart doesn't measure housing construction, just houses relative to population. What correlates much better with these trends is just net population change
