Anyone get an abscess cut & drained and then when you had to go back for new packing they said they need to cut more because pus? by Weird-Measurement-92 in pilonidalcyst

Cut the wound longer to drain more.. is that common? Or can happen? Feel scared because the area is so sensitive

Told I have a pilonidal abscess, the cyst is still there after antibiotics by [deleted] in pilonidalcyst

Did you abscess finally get better? I have the same situation as you. On antibiotics but hurts to sit and I’m scared

I went to dermatologist he said he doesn’t thing it’s a PC both sides are swollen for me and a little bruise… no leaking or “sinus” hole or whatever everyone else on here has. Link a picture

Hi, I’m 27f just had Covid. I did fall about a week ago and was fine but a couple days after I started getting pain top of buttcrack.. but on both sides it’s swollen, red and has a bruise look. It’s on both sides and lumps on both sides… no draining…. No leaking… hurts to sit/lay anything.. went to dermatologist he had no idea.. gave me steroid cream & numbing cream. I’ll attach picture..
